Jim Sutherland founded Nineonesix in 2003 after many years of mountaineering in Scotland, the Swiss and French Alps as well as the Picos de Europa, Borneo and the Southwest of the United States. In 2006 Jim started up Piped to the Top, which offers a unique service of piping in the mountains for clients. Jim is the Training Officer for the Torridon Mountain Rescue Team.

Gerry McPartlin completed the Munros and Furth in 1996 and has travelled widely in mountains on six continents. He is a retired GP and Medical Officer to the Torridon Mountain Rescue Team.
Duncan Maclennan lives and works in the highlands of Scotland and has been hill walking and mountaineering in this area for the last 20 years.
Abroad he has trekked in Nepal and the cloud forests of Equador and in Europe has been on several trips to the Alps and the Spanish Pyrenees. He is also a member of the Torridon Mountain Rescue Team.
Mick Holmes is a keen walker and climber enjoying mountaineering at home and abroad. He is currently Deputy Team Leader for Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team and likes nothing better than exploring the more remote corners of Torridon and Wester Ross. Mick also enjoys mountain biking and is quite partial to lounging in front of the fire with a glass of red wine and good conversation.
